Holiday Courses and Mock Exams
Year 5 Summer Course
The Summer Course is tailored for students who have spent the past year (or longer) preparing for the 11+ exam, whether through self-study with their parent, 1-2-1 tutoring, or by attending an 11+ Course with another provider.
It offers a concise, professionally structured program led by top-quality teachers, utilising exclusive specifically for Year 5 11+ students
The Summer Course is ideal for reinforcing and refining their preparation with expert guidance.
The final two days of the week’s Summer Course include two sets of 11+ Practice Tests which are completed and then reviewed together in class (in addition to other work which is also undertaken on these days). These tests are different to term time

11+ Mock Exams.
At each Paper Set we will emulate, as far as reasonably practicable, your child’s most likely experience on the day of the real GL Assessment Buckinghamshire 11+ tests.

11+ Booster class and Mock Exams, Easter Holiday Course 4pm-6pm @ Lace Hill Community Centre

12 hours of classroom teaching, making each day of the 6-day Course, 2½ hours in duration.

Fully qualified and experienced teachers who are also subject-area 11+ tutors. DBS checked , Safeguarding , first aid trained
They are supported by a Tuition Centre Assistant, so your teacher’s time is dedicated to your child and their educational needs.
At Buckingham Tutoring centre we use technique-focused approach to learning. We teach your child how to approach each 11+ question using our carefully developed techniques. Small teaching classes of a maximum of 8-12 regular students per class.
The majority of the material used 11+ Summer Course is original, planned and created by Buckingham tutoring centre Education material to the Course. Only limited published material is used in class, mostly for NVR and spatial reasoning.

Eight Paper GL 11+Sets: unique set of test questions.

Each Paper Set consists of two test papers:
Test Paper 1 is a Verbal Reasoning Test comprising: comprehension; and technical English (such as cloze and proof reading); and verbal reasoning questions (typically from the ’21 Types’ of verbal reasoning question, with some newer format VR questions also appearing on some of the 11+ Papers
Test Paper 2 comprises: a maths section and non-verbal reasoning (including spatial reasoning) sections (of which there are usually several short sections).
Each test contains 50 minutes of questions.
The tests are multiple choice with a question paper and separate multiple-choice answer sheet.
The tests are administered by hand under strict exam conditions, in the sports hall at lace hill community centre to give the student a real sense and experience of the exam day at school in September.
